Netflix Signs $200 Million Deal with Game of Thrones!

The showrunners of Game of Thrones, David Benioff and Dan Weiss have recently completed a $200 million multiyear film deal for the Series Game of Thrones along with Glee’s Ryan Murphy and Shonda Rhimes last year.

Netflix was not the only contender for the deal as apart from HBO who couldn’t compete with other companies bidding for the deal including Disney and Amazon.

The deal is supposed to be the start of an exclusive streaming gig for a number of movies on Netflix including Game of Thrones, and will most likely include the Star Wars trilogy.

The Showrunners of the Game of Throne series have released a public statement as below:

“We’ve had a beautiful run with HBO for more than a decade and we’re grateful to everyone there for always making us feel at home. Over the past few months, we’ve spent many hours talking to Cindy Holland and Peter Friedlander, as well as Ted Sarandos and Scott Stuber. We remember the same shots from the same ’80s movies; we love the same books; we’re excited about the same storytelling possibilities. Netflix has built something astounding and unprecedented, and we’re honored they invited us to join them.”

Just in case the first time wasn’t to satiate your passion for the movie, Game of Thrones will soon start showing on Netflix and you can watch as much as you like.
