NCDC records significant drop in COVID-19 cases with 506 new daily infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has disclosed that 506 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded within the last 24 hours.

This results in a 66% drop from the vast numbers recorded in recent times. A total of 1588 cases were recorded on February 6.

Ondo State took the lead with 90 new cases, while Kwara State and River State followed closely with 89 and 53 cases respectively.

A total of 20 deaths were recorded, unfortunately. The NCDC continues to canvass for adherence to the social distancing guidelines such as wearing of facemasks, hand washing/sanitizing, and keeping at least six feet distance with others to curb the spread of the virus.
