NCDC: Cholera Infects 922, Kills 32 In Nine Weeks

Not fewer than 922 persons have been infected with cholera while 32 others died in nine weeks – between January 2 to March 5, 2023 – according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC).

The states with cases of cholera are: Cross River (647), Ebonyi (97), Abia (72), Niger (38), and Zamfara (28), Bayelsa (16), Ondo (10), Katsina (five), Kano (three), Sokoto (three), Bauchi (two), and Osun (one).

Deaths were recorded in the following states: Cross River (16), Ebonyi (six), Abia (six), Niger (two), Zamfara (one) and Bayelsa (one).
