Africa’s most valuable company, Naspers has recently appointed its First Female Chief Executive Officer, Phuthi Mahanyele-Dabengwa in a record breaking streak after several consecutive Male White CEOs in the past.

Mahanyele will take over the daily business activities of the company and manage the Company’s successful technology investment bets within the continent with a $314 million fund announced last October.

In addition, she will oversee Naspers Labs, a social impact and skills acquisition initiative for unemployed youths in South Africa.

Mahanyele, a previous Chief Executive of Shanduka Group, an investment company founded by South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa reportedlyhas a broad investor and board experience.
