Naomi Osaka cruised to a 6-4 6-3 win against Brady to secure her second Australian Open title on Saturday.
The win helped the world number three to cement her standing as the new queen of the women’s game.
Osaka’s victory over the 22nd-seeded American at a floodlit Rod Laver Arena gave the Japanese third seed her fourth major crown at the age of 23.
Osaka had triumphed over 23-Gland-Slam winner, Serena Williams at the Semi-finals two days away, even though Serena seemed to have improved her game a lot since returning after delivery of her baby.
