The 2020 US Open Champion who defeated Victoria Azarenka in New York to win her third grand slam title in three years in a statement said she will not take part in the tourney, as a result of an injury.
The 22-year-old further said the two tournaments came too close to each, as she needs to recover from her hamstring, which is still very sore.
Osaka, who has never gone beyond the third round at Roland Garros, will miss another opportunity to contend for another Grand Slam title in France.
Earlier this month, world number one and defending champion Ashleigh Barty withdrew from the event, as a result of coronavirus restrictions in her country.
The Grand Slam Event was moved from its original May date, as a result of the global pandemic.
