NAF donates liquid oxygen to abuja health centres

The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, says it is ready to airlift hundreds of COVID-19 patients across the country with its newly configured cargo aircraft.

Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, made this known at the demonstration exercise by NAF trained medical personnel to round off the 3-day activities marking the 56th anniversary of the Nigerian Air Force. 

The demonstration exercise at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, followed seven days of training.

The purpose of the exercise is to show readiness of supporting the government’s efforts to curtail the spread of the global pandemic. 

Abubakar noted that the configured aircraft will also be useful after containing the pandemic 

As at the time of this report, Nigeria had 873 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 197 discharged from isolation centres and 28 deaths.
