Securing Bayelsa State means securing the Niger Delta Region and by extension, the country at large. This was the submission of the Air Officer Commanding Mobility Command, Air Vice Marshall AVM Aliyu Bello, who was on a visit to Governor Douye Diri, in Yenagoa as the Governor charged him to support in ensuring the security of the state remains apolitical.
It has been about three weeks ago that Air Vice Marshall Bello took over office as the Air Officer Commanding the Mobility Command in Yenagoa.
AVM Bello had visited the Government House to get acquainted with the Bayelsa State Chief Executive while assuring the provision of adequate support in halting sea piracy, kidnapping, oil theft, among other criminal activities in the State.
In strengthening the state’s security architecture, Governor Diri assured the Command continued support and collaboration.
To further solidify the relationship between the state and the Command, the Governor on the request of his visitor, granted the completion of the Air Force Primary School in the Opolo community.
