Vice President Kashim Shettima is presiding over the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja, which is the fourth since the Bola Tinubu administration took off. The council, comprising governors of 36 states, ministers in Federal Capital Territory and Finance, and the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, is currently in attendance. However, Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu, were not present at the meeting.
