Days after his 15-year-old daughter, Laila Ahmed, regained freedom after spending 29 days in captivity, the former Director at the National Broadcasting Commission and Managing Director of the Katsina State-owned Television, KTTV, said his daughter learnt a little bit of Fulfulde from the bandits.
The happy father said this when he took to his Facebook page to celebrate his daughter’s freedom.
According to the post, Ahmed said he wanted to assure everyone that Allah answered all the prayers and protected Laila from harm.
He hinted that she was released unharmed and unmolested, saying that they became fond of her as soon as the nature of her ailment was explained to them.
Ahmed noted that they even pampered and protected her, as she even managed to learn quite a few Fulfulde words.
He, therefore, used the medium to thank everyone for contributing in one way or the other, during their ordeal, which made it possible for his daughter, Laila and himself, to regain freedom.
