Months after President Donald Trump sparked worldwide outcry regarding his alleged ‘shithole’ comment while claiming that the U.S. was being swamped by foreigners from Africa and elsewhere, the First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, will be paying a visit to Africa.
The trip is scheduled for October, but the first lady will be traveling without her husband, Trump.
Melania, who is excited about her first journey to Africa, said this visit would give her first-hand opportunity to assess the children on the continent face, and learn about the continent’s rich culture and history.
The FLOTUS has included stops in several African countries which are yet to be announced.
