Goods and equipment worth millions of naira at the Marine Base Timber market in Port Harcourt were on Wednesday night destroyed by fire.
The victims of the fire outbreak want the Rivers State government to come to their rescue.
The fire outbreak which started at 11 pm local time destroyed goods and sawing machines worth millions of naira.
The timber market has in the past suffered about five fire incidents. On Wednesday night, the fire outbreak saw no presence of firefighters.
The Marine Base Timber market fire is coming less than a week after a similar fire incident destroyed several shops and goods at Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3 area of Port Harcourt.
