A man identified as Chinwekpe Orogwu in Ebonyi State has been arrested by the State Police Command for the murder of his 20-year-old brother identified as Ebubechi Orogwu for eating his portion of the goat’s intestines.
The goat was killed in their compound in Ebonyi.
The two brothers were reportedly enjoying their meal when Chinwekpe noticed Ebubechi eating from his own share. He reached for a wooden pole and hit it on his brother’s head.
The already bleeding Ebubechi shrieked and screamed in pain which caught the attention of their neighbors.
He was immediately rushed to Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital.
He was confirmed dead by the doctors at the teaching hospital. His corpse was moved to a General Hospital in Ikwo.
This incident was confirmed by Loveth Odah, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).
According to the PPRO, the police were alerted by Nwofia Clement, a resident in the area. According to Clement, the sad incident happened on Friday, May 15.
DSP Odah confirmed that the case is being investigated and expressed and disbelief over the sad incident.
