Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp felt referee Stuart Attwell could have offered more protection to his players in their win over Burnley FC.
Reds defender Joe Gomez was carried off on a stretcher in the first half and had a scan and it was revealed that he will be out for up to six weeks because of the fracture to the leg.
Klopp expected the Burnley side, who have not won since September and are stuck in the bottom three, to be physical but he believed his players should have been afforded more care.
