The proposed resumption of academic activities In tertiary institutions in Lagos State was disrupted on Monday as members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and Non-Academic Staff Union of University, NASU, staged a peaceful protest at the Lagos State University, LASU.
The protesters locked out the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olarenwaju Fagboun, management staff, and stopped the students who were returning to school from entering the premises of the university.
The university workers vowed to continue the protest until their demand for N30,000 minimum wage is implemented.
