President-elect Bola Tinubu has described the deadly train accident as a “tragic and unfortunate incident”.
In a statement, president-elect said he was going to “continue to follow the emergency response effort closely and offer support where necessary”.
He expressed condolences to the victims and families.
In the same vein, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar
described the incident as unfortunate, while condoling the families of the victims.
He, however, advised states to focus on the development of their transportation sector, adding that more attention should also be paid to emergency services.
