American model, actress, and reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, has been accused of being insensitive after celebrating her 40th birthday with family and friends on a private island.
The model announced that the trip happened after weeks of health screens and every guest being on quarantine.

With pictures of the event posted on social media, Kim stated that she was humbly reminded of how privilege her life is during the trip.
While some fans praised her honesty, some dragged her on social media for being completely ‘insensitive’ to the family who had to be separated due to the pandemic.
One of Twitter users described her action as grotesque as the rich get to pretend to be normal, while others get to cancel their Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Peter Frampton, British rock artist, and songwriter had this to say on the issue: “Are you that insensitive you don’t realise this is not what the majority of people during the worst Covid spike yet want to hear? People are going to food banks, not private islands.”
