Kenya Government warned masks vendors against allowing people to fit more than one mask before buying. As gathered, people in Kenya now fit more than one masks from vendors before settling for the one to buy. If this persists, it would undoubtedly lead to mass infection and transmission.

Dr Mercy Mwangangi, Kenya’s Health Chief Administrative Secretary urges vendors to instead provide the sizes of each mask in a label attached to the mask. In the same breath, she stated that most of the citizens wait to see a law enforcement officer before they wear their masks properly.

Mercy Mwangangi made known that people or associations looking to research on the pandemic disease must inform the l Commission for Science, Technology, and Innovation to ascertain they meet the standards for studies.

According to the country’s Health Chief Administrative Secretary, this doesn’t seem a good time for Kenya as the number of confirmed cases in the country is on the rise and it’s improbable that things would go back to usual soon.

Kenya confirmed 30 cases on Sunday, 3 May, and 24 cases on Saturday. The total number of confirmed cases of the virus in Kenya on Monday was 490. New cases were confirmed in Kawangware, Embakasi, Mathare, and Umoja.
