Kenya records 76 new Covid-19 cases, 46 recoveries

According to Kenya’s Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, the country’s overall number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 253,737 on Friday.

In a press conference, the CS revealed that this was from a sample of 6,267 people, with a positive rate of 1.2 percent.

The total number of tests is 2,730,639.
There have been no deaths reported in the last 24 hours, therefore the country’s death toll remains at 5,296.

According to Kagwe, there are presently 422 patients in different health facilities across the country, with 1,143 in the home-based quarantine and care programme.

There are 33 patients in the Intensive Care Unit, with 19 on ventilatory support and 14 on supplemental oxygen.

A total of 113 patients, 111 of whom are in general wards, are on supplemental oxygen. There are two patients in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).

Meanwhile, 46 patients have healed from the illness, including 32 from the Home-Based Quarantine and Care program and 14 from different health facilities across the country.

Total recuperation now totals 247,202, with 199,683 coming from the Home-Based Care and Quarantine program and 47,519 from various health facilities across the country.

As of November 4th, a total of 5,546,979 vaccines had been provided across the country. Partially vaccinated people made up 3,764,767, while fully vaccinated people made up 1,782,212.
44.5 percent of individuals who had already received the first dose took the second.

Adults who have got all of their immunizations accounted for 6.5 percent of the population. The government is seeking to vaccinate a population of 27,246,033 people.
