Terrorists Monday morning attacked a police “Nipping Point” in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, during which one of the terrorists was killed.
Two policemen who sustained injuries in the encounter had been treated and discharged.
The spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development, said the incident occurred around 4.30 am at Magama / Hirji junction along Katsina/ Jibia Road.
According to him, the terrorists had stormed the Police Nipping Point in large numbers, adding that the police recovered one AK 47 rifle, cash and other exhibits from the scene.
