Kanye West faces is facing legal action over a video shared on Instagram.
Elijah Graham recorded the 46-year-old rapper during a charity event in Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood in November 2021 during the Thanksgiving holiday. Graham, a volunteer event planner, claims to have recorded the moment to make money, however, his ability to profit was hindered when West allegedly uploaded the video without permission.
The viral clip directed traffic to KANYE’S Instagram page and allegedly increased the rapper’s revenue on the platform. Graham now seeks an injunction and actual damages and disgorgement of all of defendant’s profits attributable to the infringement.
