The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 204 new Coronavirus cases in the country with Kano State having the single highest number of daily infections.
With 80 new cases taking the number of confirmed cases in Kano to 219, the state now has the second highest number of infections nationwide overtaking the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, which now has 178.

Meanwhile, the confirmed number of Coronavirus cases in Lagos State has jumped to 1,011.
NCDC confirmed 80 new cases in Kano, Lagos – 45, Gombe – 12, Bauchi and Sokoto – nine each, Borno and Edo – seven each.
The others are six each in Rivers and Ogun, four each in FCT, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa, three in Kaduna, Oyo, Delta, and Nasarawa with one each in Ondo and Kebbi.
There are seven new Coronavirus deaths takes the total death toll to 58 with the total number of discharged patients now 319.
