The Kaduna State Judicial Panel of Inquiry set up to investigate allegations of a human rights violation by the disbanded SARS unit of the police has appealed for cooperation from the Nigeria Police Force to enable the panel to conclude its investigation within the limited time it has.

Speaking during the panel hearing in Kaduna, Chairman of the Panel, Justice David Wyom, (Retired) said the panel has received about 60 petitions of police brutality across the state, stating that counsel to the police has been inconsistent during panel sittings.

Justice Wyom, however, said that the panel discouraged the adjournment of the case and seeks the presence of respondents in person during panel sitting to enable the panel to conclude investigations and make recommendations to the state government.
