At least two persons have been kidnapped and a soldier killed at Milgoma, in Zaria when armed men suspected to be bandits stormed the community.
An eyewitness, Kassim Inda, who spoke to reporters, said the bandits launched the attack in the area at about 9 pm on Monday.
He said the bandits made attempts to abduct four children in the community but for the quick response of security operatives, the children were rescued in the bush, but they succeeded in abducting two women.
Inda said that during the process, a soldier was killed.
According to reports, the bandits had earlier called one Yunusa Ya’au, a staff of the Ahmadu Bello University, working with the Bursary Department, and told him of an impending attack.
Algoma is a community in Zaria, opposite the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika.
