Forbes lists Jay Z as the first billionaire rapper to ever make the list and we’re not surprised considering how many ventures the superstar has gotten involved in which includes but is not limited to the following

He owns Roc Nation, a sports management company, a $70 Million art collection, another $70 million stake in Uber and an estimated $50 million in real estate and his music catalog.

Jay Z’s journey to stardom started from the notorious Marcy Housing projects in Brooklyn to selling drugs and starting his own record label, owning D’Usse, Rocawear, his own clothing brand.

Dr Dre was almost hitting the mark in 2014 with Beats Music until local taxes valued his worth as a little under the $1 billion mark.
