Parents of the 279 girls recently released after being abducted from their school in Jangebe, Zamfara state are yet to have access to their daughters

The parents gave vent to their frustration on Wednesday evening when the girls were brought to the same school where they were abducted by government officials.

Having been refused close contact with the girls, the crowd of parents and guardians stormed through, pushing down the gate of the school and expressing anxious displeasure over how the government is managing the situation

Some community youths also accused the authorities of politicizing the release of the girls saying their community is still very insecure even after the incident

Security operatives struggled to control the crowd which resorted to attacking cars around the school.

A vehicle conveying AIT crew was also attacked and the windshield broken. There were, however, no injuries to any member of the crew.
