Former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma has agreed to appear before the Zondo Commission on the set dates for inquiry.
The commission in a statement disclosed that yesterday, Zuma in a written statement agreed to make an appearance between the 15 – 19 July 2019 via his attorneys.
Despite saying on multiple occasions that he is innocent of the charges levelled against him, Zuma has been accused of enriching his friends – The Gupta Brothers by enabling them to steal millions of Rands in state contracts during his tenure.
The Gupta brothers have since eloped from South Africa in a hurry after their leaked emails exposed the extent of their criminal activities.
