South Africa's Jacob Zuma's trial Postponed

Former South African President, Jacob Zuma has disclosed that despite not being duly informed of the need for Busisiwe Mkhwebane, a public protector to gain access to his SARS records, he is of the opinion that if she needs to see them, she should be granted access.

This emerged after the SARS launched a bid to prevent the public protector from gaining access to his tax information, one which she responded with the notice of intention to oppose

Zuma is currently embroiled in a series of corruption charges during his administration and just recently he was supposed to appear before the judicial commission of inquiry but could not make it due to health-related issues.

The first case involved the infamous Gupta brothers whose allegations were levelled against him that he helped the foreigners loot the nation while enriching himself. A more recent one which he is currently facing trial for claims that Zuma received the sum of R1m for the first four months in office as insinuated in The President’s Keepers, a book written by Jacques Pauw

All of which the former president has retorted not guilty to.
