The National Assembly has assured the Nigerian Armed Forces of continuous support to enable them effectively tackle insurgency in the country.
The Chairman House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, gave the assurance during an oversight visit by the committee to defence institutions in Kaduna.
While at the NDA, the Commandant, Major General Manu Yusuf, told the committee that the academy has reviewed its curriculum in line with the current security challenges to enable it to prepare cadets, ahead of future threats.
The Chairman House Committee on Defence, Babajimi Benson, described the county’s security situation as worrisome and commended the NDA for the initiative.
Benson also said that the National Assembly is in support of the presidential directive of local content production through Executive Order 5.
The committee also visited the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji.
