Infrastructure: FG Express Concern Delay In Completion Of Abuja-Kaduna- Kano Expressway

The federal government has expressed worry over the delay in the completion of 375 kilometer of Abuja- Kaduna – Kano expressway project.

Speaking, during monitoring and assessment visit, permanent secretary Ministry of works and housing, Mahmuda Mamman says the pace of the work is slow.

The Project was awarded by former president Muhammadu Buhari in 2017, with a sum of 797.2 billion naira expected to be completed within 36 months.

Mamman explained that a new strategy will be adopted to ensure speedy completion for Nigerians to better routine in the country.

Also, the Project Manager lamented that wet season, traffic and insecurity are the major challenges affecting the timely completion of the road.

However, the permanent secretary commended the quality of work done so far. He urged Nigerians to bear with the contractor while assuring of the current administration’s commitment to fund the project.
