Almost nine hundred thousand permanent voters registration cards have been collected ahead of the Bayelsa governorship elections.

The Chairman of INEC Prof Mahmood Yakubu while briefing members of the concerned civil society organizations say, this is out of a total of about nine hundred and twenty-three thousand, one hundred and eighty-two registered voters.

Professor Yakubu says the electoral body is working round the clock to ensure logistics for the polls are hitch-free but is worried about expected violations of the electoral act.

He warns voters to shun taking their phones into voting cubicles saying any attempt at vote-buying will be dealt with by relevant authorities.
