Ibadan: Seven Injured As Four-Storey Building Collapses

Seven persons have been injured when an uncompleted four-storey hotel building collapsed today in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

According to NAN, the collapsed building is the building, which was adjacent to a bank at Awosika, Bodija area of Ibadan, collapsed around 5.45am when Muslim faithful were returning from their early morning prayers.

Rescue teams, including people in the neighbourhood and passers-by, have been able to rescue seven people who are currently receiving medical care at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Oyo police public relations officer, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident, adding that the site has since been cordoned off with adequate deployment of police personnel in the interest of

public health and safety.
