Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has doused rumour that he is on self-isolation after allegedly having contact with some personalities who have already tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus.
The Governor put the rumour to rest when he jointly addressed reporters in company of the state Commissioner for Police, Undie Adie, on the enforcement order of shutting down of shops, public gatherings, and market.
The Governor advised members of the public to embrace social distancing.
Akeredolu urged the Ondo State Police Command to ensure that residents of the state complied with Government directive on the Coronavirus pandemic.
The State commissioner of Police said that it had been observed that shop owners with non-essential materials opened their doors, contrary to the directives of the state government.
He further said the Command was fully prepared to roll out its personnel day and night to ensure that social centres like night clubs and drinking bars do not operate.
