Tyson Fury’s cousin, Hughie Fury has declared his intention to be on the shortlist of prospective opponents for Anthony Joshua’s Wembley fight slated for April 13th 2019.

Hughie Fury is hoping to become the mandatory challenger for the IBF world heavyweight title by defeating Kubrat Pulev in Sofia on the 27th of October.

When asked of Joshua’s stoppage of Alexander Povetkin, he said, “He is very vulnerable. He struggled a bit in the first few rounds. He got a bit hurt in the first, and very wary.

Of the possibility of facing the unified heavyweight champion in the ring, he said, “That’s the fight I’m dying to get, and hopefully get through this fight, and then a fight with me and him. I’m in a final eliminator and would be in mandatory position.”

Although he mentioned WBC champ, Deontay Wilder as his number one choice, there is no official opponent yet for Anthony Joshua’s fight next April and with Joshua having no mandatories for his straps, Fury may just get his desire, should he get past the Pulev challenge next month.
