Hong Kongers have taken on a new cause as Coronavirus has permeated into Hong Kong and the very first patient died to the virus. Medical Doctors in the capital have begun protesting for all the borders with China to be shut.

With over 20,000 people infected with the virus in China and an all high 425 deaths, Hong Kong health workers, an estimated 2,700 staff members partook in the strike action yesterday, it is rumoured that as many as 9,000 staff members will be joining in today.

According to Benjamin So, one of the health practitioners, as many as 70,000 people were still crossing the borders further escalating the risk of spreading the virus in Hong Kong. So also maintains that should an emergency break out in Hong Kong, there is no existing contingency plan to manage the crisis.

Hong Kong is not the only surrounding city taking extreme measures as Macau has recently ordered for Casinos to be shut down for at least two weeks to stem the spread of the virus.
