The Hausa and Yoruba communities in the central senatorial district of Cross River State have thrown their weight behind the aspiration of the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2019 election, Victor Ndoma-Egba.
The representatives of the communities, drawn from different wards and local government areas in the state said the candidacy of Ndoma-Egba will guarantee the protection of their rights as enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.
They said the communities have benefited in the past from the former Senate leader’s uncommon love and even distribution of amenities to all the citizens of the central senatorial district, irrespective of their states of origin and tribes.
The Hausa/Yoruba communities said Senator Ndoma-Egba has a proven track record, capacity, and experience to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Central Cross River State who are in dire need of inclusive and good governance.
In a related development, the APC ward chairmen from Ikom Urban have thrown their weight behind the former Senate leader to be re-elected as their representative in the red chamber of The National Assembly.
