Jamal-Khashoggi-death penalty for accused

A group of six senators had received a top-confidential update on Tuesday from the CIA Director Gina Haspel that they said cleared all doubts that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed played an active role in the murder of Saudi Journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

In view of this, the committee of six U.S. Senators has introduced a non-binding resolution attributing the murder of Jamal Khashoggi to the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the senators try to reach agreement on a stronger bipartisan response.

The recommended resolve holds that Prince Mohammed was in charge of the security forces at the time of Khashoggi’s murder and that the Senate has “a high level of confidence” that the prince was a strong force to be reckoned with in the killing.

It also implicates senator Lindsey Graham, who as a South Carolina Republican, led the sponsorship of the measure.
