Gov’ship Election: INEC Suspends Collation Of Election Results In Abia, Enugu

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the collation of results in Obingwa LGA in Abia state, and Nsukka and Nkanu East LGAs in Enugu state.

INEC national commissioner and chairman, information and voter education committee, Festus Okoye, announced the development in a statement on Monday. Okoye said the commission made the decision after it met to review the conduct of the governorship and state assembly elections held nationwide on March 18.

Okoye said the review would be undertaken immediately before the collation process in the states is concluded.
