El-Rufai urges CJN Onnoghen to resign

The Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has held an emergency security meeting with heads of security agencies in the state.

The meeting which comes after the violence that broke out in the state capital on Sunday is to review the security situation in the state.

The state government has placed a 24 hours curfew to avert any further breakdown of law and order, and a combined team of soldiers, police and other security agencies can be seen patrolling the streets of Kaduna

Residents have remained indoors in compliance with the no movement order.

However, following rumors of reprisal attacks in Narayi, Ungwar Muazu, and Kawo areas, security operatives have been deployed to the areas in order to secure lives and property of residents.
