Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State has advocated for fairness in the allocation of resources by the Federal Government.

Governor Bello made the call when a delegation of Elders of the North Central Zone paid him a visit at the Government House, Minna, the state capital.

The Governor noted with concern that, despite the significant role the region has played in ensuring the sustenance of democracy since 1999, the region has not been carried along properly.

The Chief Executive of the state stressed that North-Central is endowed with abundant mineral resources, that will expand the fortunes of the revenue drive of the country.

Former Deputy Senate President, Nasiru Mantu, commended the governor for his tireless efforts, in tacking the security challenges affecting Niger State.

The leader of the delegation and former Minister of the Federal Capital, Senator Jeremiah Useni, told the Governor, that their forum was put together to champion a course for the Zone, irrespective of political differences.

Senator Jeremiah Useni stressed that the Forum will not relent on its efforts of setting agenda, to address the challenges, bedeviling the zone.
