The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Lanre Issa-Onilu, reacting to the suspension of the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha said it should be appreciated that as a party it could query a sitting governor and recommend him for suspension.
Imo APC Caretaker Committee had recently recommended him for suspension from the ruling APC over alleged anti-party activities.
Outgoing Governor Okorocha, and an APC senatorial candidate for Imo West, is said to be working to have his son-in-law and governorship candidate of the Action Alliance, Uche Nwosu, as his successor.
He allegedly vowed to ensure the APC governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma, loses the governorship election in the state.
