Gov. Bello Approves New Projects Across Kogi’s Senatorial Districts

Kogi State government has approved the sum of 7.7 billion Naira for the construction and rehabilitation of some township roads in parts of the state.

Briefing reporters after the weekly State Executive Council meeting in Lokoja, the state capital, the Commissioner for Works and Housing, Abubakar Ohere, hinted that the College of Education Kabba also received the council’s approval for new projects.

In January this year, Governor Yahaya Bello released over four billion Naira for the construction of some critical roads in the three senatorial districts of the state with work at various stages, some near completion.

In his bid to improve township roads in parts of the state, the sum of 7.7 billion Naira was approved for some critical roads in Kogi West and Central Senatorial Districts.

With existing works currently ongoing in Kabba town, additional road projects were also approved for Kabba and some intervention at the College of Education, Technical Kabba.

Kogi State Commissioner for Health, Doctor Haruna Saka, also announced the Council’s approval for the construction of a clinical complex for the teaching hospital at the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi East Senatorial District.

Governor Bello also approved the appointment of 45 persons into various positions as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistant, and Special Assistant to enable him to deliver on his new direction mandate.
