Bonnie Jenkins, U.S. Under-Secretary for Arms Control and International Security, speaking at the United Nations Human Rights Council session in Geneva said Russia is once again showing the world that it is not a responsible nuclear power.
Putin announced that Russia was unilaterally suspending the implementation of the New START treaty.
During the same session, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said President Vladimir Putin’s announcement was “irresponsible” and that he should be urged to return to the treaty.
