Governments at all levels have been urged to work vigorously towards achieving gender equality in all sectors of the country.
The President and Founder of Women In Mining in Nigeria, WIMIN, Engr. Janet Adeyemi who gave the advice, said gender inequality particularly violence against women and children, remains a source of concern in Nigeria.
The WIMIN President who was represented by the group’s programme coordinator, Dennis Deloraine spoke in Ado-Ekiti during the Research Validation and Policy Dialogue and said, Gender equality is yet to be fully attained in Nigeria.
She however noted that the group is close to getting there.
