Fuel Subsidy Removal: Bank Charges, Pension Cut Will Ease Sufferings, Chidoka Tells Tinubu

A former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has asked President Bola Tinubu to take quick steps such as removal of bank charges and reduction in the monthly contributions to pension schemes by workers to ameliorate the biting effects of the removal of fuel subsidy on the masses.

Chidoka, stated this in an interview with newsmen. He advised that immediate measures should be taken to ensure there is more money in the pockets of people who go to work daily.

President Bola Tinubu in his inaugural address at the Eagle Square, Abuja declared that there would no longer be a petroleum subsidy regime as the 2023 budget does not contain it.
