Motorists and residents of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital are currently groaning in pain over the continued negative impact of the lingering scarcity of premium motor spirit otherwise known as petrol.

Long vehicular queues were seen in most filling stations visited by our correspondent and hike in transport fares have become the order of the day in the state.

Across some fuel stations in Ado-Ekiti, the State capital revealed that the pump price is selling now between 248 to 260 naira per litre as at the time of filling this report.

Meanwhile the state Government has setup a special task force on fuel scarcity in the State with the mandate that petroleum marketers comply with government regulated pump price.

Speaking on behalf of the committee Comrade Sola adigun said the committee has met with the marketers in the state to prioritize the state Government’s position on the commodity.
