Thierry Henry has been sacked as the coach of French Ligue 1 giants, Monaco, with the club reappointing Leonardo Jardim as its new manager.

Henry’s dismissal comes just three months into the job, with Monaco managing only five wins in all competitions.

Leonardo Jardim has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal and is expected to be helped with new signings.

Monaco have recruited thus far, defenders Naldo and Fode Toure and midfielder Cesc Fabregas in the winter transfer window as they look to bolster their squad and salvage their terrible season. Jardim spent four years at Monaco in his first stint, winning the league title in the 2016/2017 season and steering Monaco to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
