Four people have been confirmed dead after getting struck by lightning in the western province of Tete very close to Malawi. Two of the four included an elderly woman and a toddler.
Not only did people lose their lives, but properties and electricity poles also nose-dived in the upheaval. The lightning struck during a very heavy rainstorm that cost some of their homes as well as some school buildings.
The weather forecast for the next few days may tow a similar trend according to reports from the meteorological authorities and begun at least a week earlier than anticipated.
