Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has threatened to sign an executive order to warrant a house to house search if looters fail to return all stolen properties.

Governor Fintri, who stated this in a statewide broadcast on Wednesday, said the looters have 12 hours to return the stolen items or be fished out from their residences through the house to house search.

In the same vein, the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and the Muslim Council of Nigeria in the state have condemned the ongoing stealing of public and private properties, describing it as a criminal.

The religious leaders cautioned parents to monitor their wards who might bring home possible looted items.

In the past two days, Adamawa State has witnessed incidents of looting and vandalization of government and private properties, despite the 24-hour curfew imposed by the state government.
