The recent FIFA rankings show that Nigeria is now ranked as one of the top 30 nations in the world. Ranked 29th in the world and 3rd in Africa, the Super Eagles fall into the top 30 rankings for the first time since May 2013.

Gernot Rohr and his team have been in fine form since the 2019 AFCON tournament. A third-place finish at the African Cup of Nations and other impressive friendly matches earned the men’s team praise from football critics worldwide.

Also, the Super Eagles have a decent record in qualification for the next AFCON tournament. To continue their impressive record, the team has two games in October against Ivory Coast and Tunisia.
